opening new threads like this is annoying, I see lots of useless thread around here which discourages me to come to IV that often. He is asking update from CORE like they owe him, he must have paid his attorney and should attorney in such way not here. Whenever core has something to share they do share, no doubts.
If you do not feel like coming to IV forum, that is your problem.
If anything only the IV Admins can speak of what the members can ask or cannot ask.
I think it is clear that this platform is not a paid subscription, so if the IV Admins do not ask for money who are you to speak of money here?
I did not demand anything, it was a request which the Admins and lot other members would understand except for some jacka** like u.

Also, those who have the "Senior" Member tags, imagine when you first joined this forum, if someone would have responded back saying "Have you paid any money that you are asking for it?" or "What have you contributed or given to this forum that you are asking for it?"

I am in a similar situation...filed for AP in June...mine got approved...wife's AP has not gotten approved yet....planning to travel in early December.
I tried expediting for financial loss and got email saying that is not enough reason....
I am thinking of refiling my wife's I131 and paying the extra $300...now. What do you guys think...is there a chance of approval before end of November or is it a lost cause...

About discover card, i told them it is just thier loss.:)
Discover Card is a bit picky...I applied a second time around and they approved it.

Of course you can work using your EAD for your Employer. The reason why so many still remain on H1(even after getting EAD) is because if the I-485 (AOS) is denied, they can still continue to work on H1 and maybe restart the whole GC process. But its not possible once you switch to EAD. You cannot fall back to H1.

This is an excellent provision. I support giving exemption for PHds from H1b also. It is not that much easy to get Phd and very less people opt for phd. This should not get any opposition even from anti immigrants.
and also for non-PhD folks like me. As they exempt these superstars from the queue, it also has the effect of making the queue smaller (slightly atleast) for everyone else. i personalyl know of two PhDs who are waiting in EB2 queue for the last 3 years...

yes california service center didn't accept my H1B extension application and returned back saying we have to file it in Vermont Service Center that's what my Attorney told me if he is not lying. But the good thing is my EAD shows 10/10/2007 start date and my H1B expired on 10/11/2007.
But I still am not using EAD and have sent my H extension to Vermont and hoping for good. So for some reason if they don't approve will use my EAD from that point. But will it cause any issues in future or on 485
But lesson learnt is never hire cheap lawyers most of the time they don't know anything.

I got EADs for me and my wife, but photos got swaped.

well i got marriage church, but we didn't got are license yet, because my husband have some problem in court.( he is a citzen) We'll know if he will go to jail or not in march 31.
my question is:
since we don't know if he will or not. I need to know if i can start my paper with the immigration?
because if he goes to jail.. how we will do the interview if he is not here to go?

My wife and I are currently working on EADs obtained through my previous employer filing for my green card (eb3 India, pri date: dec 2005), my wife is a dependant on this greencard petition. We last re-entered US using our AP. Two years ago, more than six months after my I-140 got approved, I changed my employer (to a similar position in the IT field itself) and my new (and current) employer filed for AC-21. They have also obtained a I-797 for me as a backup which I have used. Also prior to getting my EAD, my wife worked on an H1 visa for a year and then we got EAD, she has been working on that ever since. Our EAD was recently submitted for renewal and will be valid for the next two years.
I got accepted into a fulltime MBA program in the US, which I am planning to attend. This would mean that I quit my current job and after the two years in MBA I will be joining a different employer in a different field (ie: I will be moving out of IT into something like finance). I am assuming transition to F1 is out of question since I have shown immigration intent
Questions:
1) Will it be legal for me to go fulltime to school on an AOS pending status?
2) Will I have trouble, re-entering the US on an AP if I travel overseas during the time I am enrolled in school?
3) Can I use this EAD card to go for an internship between my first and second year (the job will not be IT)?
4) Can I use this EAD card to work fulltime after MBA graduation, provided it is still valid for a few more months (the job will not be IT)?
5) If my post-MBA employer files for a greencard for me in the new position which is different from IT, will I be able to use my old priority date of Dec 2005?
6) To mitigate risk, my wife is planning to go into H1 so that I can get an H4 if going to school on EAD doesn't work. Is this strategy to use H1 during school time (and travel overseas and re-enter using H4) and use EAD while internship safe?
7) If my wife cannot find a H1 job, can she work on her EAD while I am also using EAD to go to school
